Fellow anglers, I need help locating a fishing rod. I recently broke my rod while fishing for native trout in a non stocked Pennsylvania stream. I slipped and fell and drove the tip directly into the stone creek bottom snapping 6” of the tip. I am trying to find the same rod and it is proving to be challenging to say the least due to the fact they have made changes to this particular rod series this year and most outfitters and big name stores(cabelas, bass pro, tackle warehouse, FishUSA) are all carrying the new models which I do not care for. I have even checked out all the local shops and went as far to contact the manufacturer to see if they had any laying around in a corner somewhere collecting dust. The rod is a ST CROIX. It is model number ECS63MLXF in the EYECON series. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would happily make a reasonable offer and pay any shipping costs. Thanks you and tight lines

I clearly understand St. Croix’s ratings.
Ultralight come in 2 ratings that I’m accustomed too.
One is a 2 to 6 pound rating that I find using a 4 pound
mono and a 3/8 ounce lure works best. Then there’s
the 4 to 8 pound mono rating that I spool with 6 pound
mono and find that I get the most out of what I’m doing
when using a 5/8 ounce lure and yes I have definitely put
the 4 pound mono with the 3/8 ounce lure on the 4 to 8
pound ultra light and vice versa. At times for buoyant
purposes I found it important to use 8 pound mono
on the 2 to 6 pound mono ultralight BUT this outfit
is dedicated to this one species and taken in consideration
that I’m NOT going to alter the reels performance in the long run.
St. Croix rods are a touch on the heavy side. I like a meaty rod
that has a bit weight to it.

Disclaimer: A little knowledge can be dangerous.
This bait can hurt you. It’s not the bait itself. It’s what takes the bait.

His rod is to long and for that reason his movement
of the rod are very little if any. He depends on wind
or power drifting. The length of the rod will pull him
out of the strike zone. The jig looses its realist action.
His jigs are ridiculously light. Nobody did anything wrong.
They’re putting azzes in the seats. I’m not a good fishermen.
The fishing is good.

WTF is this?

Look he’s Albanian.

My father was a heavy drinker. This is when we rented
an apartment on Grove and Woodward. The Serbs own it.
It’s actually Nebs cousins Ed and Rays parents. Back to my
pop. He would blow his check in the bars. Then he would
mooch from my mother and send money over seas to his
family. He couldn’t speak the language. The joke in the family
was I was the only one that spoke English. I was in Kindergarten
and first grade. They took my father out oh his element.
He spoke many languages but not one was English. At that
age believe or not, I loved soccer. Kids at that age use a volleyball
instead of a soccer ball. The people saw that I was being neglected.
He worked in the sweat shop where I was with Dizzy and this was
way before Dizzy. Before that was my grandfather from my mother.
No one is interested especially my mother that made the patterns
on the machines. Now for the fun part. You see the loud mouth
fella across the street. He beat up my pop because of his drinking
issue. He went to the hospital and complained that his neck hurts
from a headlock. The Dr. Examined him and found nothing more
than alcoholism. That’s what he was treated for. After time passed
they found something that shows up from stress and leads to a
social disorder. He was then treated for that and after lived a normal
life but in between all of this his English greatly improved. It even
gets better. Loud mouth across the street didn’t quite let up or back
off. My pop and his friends were going to shoot him. Light him up.
He ended up at the shrink. Gangs were after him. He has his own issues.
This has been over now since i’m literally 10 years old. This all occurred
from immigrants getting adjusted to there new environment.

Look he’s Albanian. I never seen anything like this before.

I know Big Cee, I’m aware.

The kids father is a living nightmare.

This all started at Breezy with the German owned tackle shop on
Wycoff and Myrtle. At that time time it was the B55 not Q last stop.
He has friends. They know what they’re doing. It’s the Oasis.

I’m old enough to be his son’s father. He’s a stick and move fighter.

This is what I put in the water.
I’m looking at a 17 or 18 year old kid.

https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/offshore-angler-machine-rigged-trolling-lure?hvarAID=shopping_googleproductextensions&ds_e=GOOGLE&ds_c=BPS%7CShopping%7CPMax%7CProprietary%7CGeneral%7CNAud%7CNVol%7CNMT&gad_source=1&gclsrc=ds

The fish made the cut by 6”
You see the double line?
It’s a small fish.
Just flip it over the rail.

The head mate. I don’t think he has a GED but he has a 100 ton masters lisence.

Let’s tile fish.

Plenty of tiles for the taking.
My tuna rod got knocked down and pinned to the rail 3 times.
The 4th time the fish was the right size and didn’t bend the hook and pop off.

4 big eye between 130 to 160 pounds hooked up in one shot.
They’re looking at me to grab the gaff. I can’t see what’s happening.
I didn’t hire these people. I politely walked away and sat in the cabin.
When the mates were done they looked like they were going to drop
and start convulsing. Not quite the attitude I was looking for.
That one tuna feeds a small village.

I’m not seeing any bait. No spearing, silversides, killies/mummichug.
Mullet are far more plentiful in July, August and more so bigger in September
with plenty of peanuts and rich size snappers. It’s he’s F’n weird!

You took the kids fishing.

I don’t work for the tackle shop. I’m not employed by the tackle shop.

A beat up adult bunker.

I’m not constantly looking to have a conversation with an imbecile.

They’re constantly putting you in a BAD position.
